You can reset your counters/logs so that when your next billing cycle arrives you can track how many KB of data you use in a month, then just use a calculator to translate into MB and you'll be set.  You can also use it to keep active track of where you are in your usage.

On average 25MB is for the light-net users.  If you check e-mail multiple times a day and/or stream ORB then you'll risk going over.

I can't say, it's not about the time you spend online, it's more about the amount of page views.  If you've already purchased the 25MB plan, you should just actively keep track of your usage using the suggestions above.

I am a heavy user and on average I consume about 88MB of data on my Touch.

it's very easy to go over 25 MB.  Verizon agents also can give misinformation.  We recently got the enV Touch (buy one get one free).  They told my brother that we had the full 25 MB to use for this month.  But I talked to a different agent who told me that we were prorated (we're part of a family plan) until the next billing cycle.  So we didn't have the full 25 MB for this month.  So now we're over and pissed.  My brother is going to try to complain.

But even though we had the phone for only a few days (4 days), we each have clocked about 15 MB each on our separate phones.  The only data I've used is mobile email and some websites.  I haven't even touched any streaming, song downloads, video downloads, etc.  I only went on facebook once.  I think you should view webpages with the text only option on.  The only graphic intensive (if you can even call them that) is MSNBC and Gizmodo.  I did use maps.google.com a couple times.  So we were shocked how many megabytes we had used.

the only thing I can think of that may be counted as MB is the download of the mobile email app.  but downloads of paid stuff is not supposed to count against data.  otherwise, you could run into the monthly limit after a single download like a purchased game.

And mobile email is more intensive than I expected.  All my emails are basically text.  I haven't opened any attachments or anything.  mobile email is always on once you get it.  my phone kept giving me prompts every time I got email.  I thought I could save on the data by only launching the app when I wanted to check email every once in awhile.  Not this always on email thing.

i think verizon knew it was wise to give mobile email for free with that $9.99 data plan because it'll suck out all of your 25 MB.  mobile email is cool but not worth the overages or upgrading to the full $30 unlimited data plan.

The easiest way to check is to go to settings>My Verizon.  Scroll down and you'll see it.  I don't think that My Verizon consumes much data.
