For all you NFL fans out there, you can download the new NFL Mobile app to your Touch. Reports say you will now be able to watch live Sunday and Thursday games on your handset.

Here is one link to the story - NFL Mobile on Verizon

Wow, that could be huge boon for Verizon and a big loss for Sprint.  Cool

It's a huge Deal.  The app is currently available for the Droid phones, Moto Devour, BlackBerry Curve 8330 & 8530, Storm 2 and Storm 1, Tour, LG Chocolate Touch, EnV Touch, LG VX-8360 and the Samsung Rouge.

Yes, I agree.  It's almost tempting for me to add the expensive data plan to get this, but I probably won't.

At least the app is free so people that have a data plan already can just download and go.  If I cared more about football, I would download it to my BB.  I will still probably try it out just to see the quality of the game feeds once the season gets underway.

Yeah, for those who have a data plan with VZW and this phone who are also into football, getting this is a no-brainer, even if it has a nominal one-time (but not recurring) fee.  Cool

I'm sure as we go forward with new phones from Verizon, they will mostly all be able to run the NFL Mobile app, especially their smartphone collection.

I picked it up the other day.  It will be nice to keep up on the draft picks and watch the games when not at home.  The only thing I don't like is that it will not work with the touch screen.  You have to use the internal.  I would much rather use the external for navigating then switch over to the internal or just use external with with ear buds.  Right now they are playing WEEK 6 NYG vx. NO.  Plays good.  Just can't get rid of the time bar to make full screen.

Nice, so all you need is the data plan you were good to go?  Pretty simple installation?  This makes it tempting for me to get the data plan.  laugh

I remember that Week 6 game against the Saints.  That led to the downfall of my Giants.  They were 5-0 coming into that game and then just collapsed.  Angry

Yup, data plan or grandfathered into the vpak.  As with most installs, very simple.  Nice to see more free apps when you pay as much as I do.  I got 2 phones, wife and mine, 1400 min & data for 135.

Cool - even better how you can use it w/ VPak.

I went to VZW's site and saw that the NFL Mobile app is mentioned on their home page:

I meant that as being included in the data plan.  I read something about that here back in May/June timeframe.  I don't think you can use it in VPak.  You will have to dwnld it.

I love this app, downloaded the 1st day became available. Now I don't have to watch rounds 4-7 to see how my beloved Seahawks fared.

VPAK user here, loving this app.  If the football season stars before I switch to an Android phone, it'll be cool to have.
