Here's a pic I took on Sat. at a local park while playing disc golf.  The pic weighed in at 1.65 MB, which is one of the largest files my phone's camera has produced.  Cool

That's large in size.  The largest I have seen on mine is 930kb.  On another note, what code do you use to post just the thumbnail size pic with a download.  I hate the idea that my posts take up so much space with the full size pics.

I think an environment with lots of lighting and contrasting or at least a variety of colors will increase the file size.  About that pic I posted, I didn't use any special code here.  I simply went to the "Attach:" section below, clicked on Browse..., and then Post. Smiley

Ahh.  Instead of a link it's uploaded.  Got it.  As to the size of the file, I think your on to something with light, or at least white.  When the weather changes up here in CT I'll play with that theory. Overcast and scattered showers all week long. Cry

I'll take the rain and overcast weather you're having.  In TX, it's been hot and sunny all month (everyday over 100 deg.), except today, Tues., we got some much needed rain and sub-100 deg. weather.  Cool  You'll get dry and sunny weather eventually and then can test out my file size theory.

I drive a cement mixer and these are a few pics I took at a job on the Erie Canal lock near here.

The first pic is from the front of my truck looking up the lock:

This one is from the top of the back of my truck looking down:

Nice pics of the work.  It was not that long ago that I never thought I would be taking pics, especially of this quality on my phone.

Thanks for sharing your pics, danfriday.  Cool

My pleasure. I've been  a novice photographer for a few years now with my 35mm camera but starting to use my phone for picture taking.

One last photo from the job. As you can see it was taken from inside my truck ,as I was backing up out of the canal.

^ Nice.  As I'm sure you've noticed, our phones take really good pictures in the daylight.  But when it's cloudy or indoors with average or low lighting, that's where quality noticeably suffers (compared to a real digicam).
