I tried the demo of Derek Jeter Baseball, which I'd heard was good.  It is absolutely inferior in every way to All-Star Baseball 2003 on my Game Boy Advance (yes, 2003 -- which ironically also features Derek Jeter).  Very disappointing.  Although some of the fake player names are funny (e.g. "Pedlolia" for "Pedroia" and "Damit" for "Betamit!").

Some of these are copied from my other post reply on touch screen games, and I just added the other internal screen enabled games....

Pacman- (Touch screen only)trying to play this using the touch screen is a exercise in frustration. If you've ever played pacman before, you know you need precise, split-second movements and the Env Touch's screen just can't provide that. I did try the swipe methos as well as the "virtual keypad". The swipe works bette then the virtual stick but it's still poorly implemented. Avoid this games unless they provide an update for internal screen usage.

BurgerTime deluxe- (Touch screen only) Really, the same exact issues as above. Nice graphic update though...

FarCry2- (Touch screen only) This one is pretty well unplayable as a touch game. Besides the problems I listed above, your finger will cover a good deal of the area you need to see exascerbating the problems. The sound is decent, graphics aren't bad, but if the controls are bad, it ruins the whole deal. this game would be fun using the internal keys.

The Game of life- (Touch Screen only)This one works just fine as a touch screen game since you dont need quick precise movements. It playes just like it used to on the voyager, execpt for using the internal screen of course. It has the same missing features such as not being able to buy car or house insurance, but this has nothing to do with the touch interface. If you enjoy the Games of Life, this is a good buy.

The Oregon Trail- (TOuch screen only) This is another cool touch enabled games that doesn't suffer from the need for quick movements for the most part. The fishing and hunting minigames prob would have been easier had they been with internal keys, but it doesn't break the game. I never played the original game, so I can't really say whats been changed, added or left out. The graphics are nice and vibrant and the animation is good.

Resident Evil: Degeneration -(Internal screen/keyboard only) This game is very cool for a mobile phone game. Its presented in 3D as opposed to an isometric view. The view is an "over the shoulder 3rd person view", like a lot of moden console games (splinter cell, Gears of War, etc.). The graphics are pretty good. The textures are a little blurry and sometimes a little blocky, but the detail faily good anyway and superior to most standard mobile phone games. The animation is also well done. the sound is superb. Mood fitting music played as the sounds of zombies groaning and the bark of you firearm play in concert with one another. They did a good job being able to layer the sounds. You can use the direction pad for all movement, or, like I prefer, you can use the 2,Q,E,S, key and the direction pad together to similate haveing dual sticks like a console game and this works wonderfully. More games should take advantage of the full key pad. R will reload K will draw the knife and so on. It has the same akwardness as its console cousins when i come to switching from knife attacks to pistol attacks, but overall is awesome.

The Sims 3- -(Internal screen/keyboard only) This is also a cool game that uses the internal keys. Its a very stripped down version of Sims 3, but its fun in its simplicity. You can do all the normal sim interacting, getting jobs, buying furniture etc. There are mini games for fixing and cleaning as well as fishing. Even with its stripped down features, you'll likely get much more time out of it then most mobile games. the graphics are solid with decent animation. Even though the time cycles, its not reflected inthe graphic, so 1am looks like 2pm when you are wandering around outside. Odd, but not a deal breaker. The sound is decent. It doesn't do quite a good of a job as Resident Evil as far as the amount of actions that are sounds enabled, but its close. controling the movement of you sim is the standard point and click and works just fine. Characted customization is faily limited however. This extends from clothing to your sims traits. Still I would recommend this to anyone that has a passing interest in the sims.

I purchased 3 games yesterday... before purchasing I could not find a whole lot of reviews... so i just went for it.

I bought Hard Rock Casino, Zuma, and Brain Games by Verizon.

--------------------

The Hard Rock Casino is alright. It looks good on the LG touch's screen. It has 5 card deuces wild video poker, roulette, blackjack and slots. Truthfully I bought it mainly for the blackjack. I was tossed between the Capones Casino and this game, but I just went with Hard Rock since it was .50 cheaper. This game does support touch screen, but i find it way easier to play with the directional pad. One error during blackjack is every once in a while your options (Hit, Stand, Double, Split) will cover cover up the cards so you can't see what you have. One of the problems is the cards are way over to the side and very small, they should have made them bigger. I wish I could have tried the Capones and the Hard Rock before I made the choice, but I couldnt.

--------------------

Zuma is very fun to me. It looks good on the LG touch's screen. Basically you are shooting balls and trying to hit the same color as the one your shooting. If you can't do it fast enought the balls get closer to a gate, and if they get to the gate you lose. I enjoyed it. I played the 5 minute trial, liked it, and bought it. I'm happy with that game so far. You have to use the directional pad for this game (no touchscreen support).

--------------------

The Brain Games by verizon is pretty neat. It looks good on the LG touch's screen. I like soduko, and that is included with this game, so I bought it. But, you can't play soduko right off the bat, you have to play the regular game to open this option. Basically the regular game is intended to make you work your brain a little bit every day that you play it. It has a daily activity and records your progress. The game has observation, memory, calculation, and reasoning excercises. Each category starts with 1 game in the beginning, but has a total of 4 once everything is open. One Observation game makes you watch leaves fall from a tree and you observe which color you see the most of. One memory game makes you quickly memorize and retype telephone numbers. Another gives you some food in a specific order and asks you what was the Nth food displayed. One calculation game makes you do quick math and chose an answer from multiple choice. Another calculation game makes you choose the size weight to balance a scale. One reasoning game requires you to guess (mult choice) which shape a shooting star is making. Another reasoning game requires you to look at two house windows and choose which house has more people in it by quickly remembering how many people you see and not counting the same person twice. The game does not support touch screen.

--------------------

Hopefully more people will continue to add reviews to this thread. I would like to here about some other games that people like or dislike. I hope this helps someone!

They must have made a change since this review (thanks for taking the time to do so!), because when I tried the Zuma game, it just flat say's it does not support the touchscreen, and won't even show up on the external screen. I'm just mentioning it to prevent anyone from buying it JUST for the touchscreen aspect. I know Zuma so well, I would have just bought it outright after reading this review, but they do still have the 5 minute demo, so I thought I should try that first. Glad I did. For whatever reason, right now at least, I really just want games that support the outside screen - preferably controlled by moving the whole phone like Need for Speed Underground, or at least something simple but fun to use the touch capabilities for.

There are SO few Verizon Get It Now games reviewed specifically for the Env Touch! I hope others will take a few minutes to come back to this thread at least and give some report on the ones they try. This is one of the VERY few places that is even trying to do so. All that said...yesterday I tried Alpine Racer 3d. I was hoping for another accelerometer controlled,  outside screen game. I don't know about you guys, but those iPhone commercials showing various games controlled like that on the iPhone just blow me away. You can start up the game on either screen, but at first I couldn't figure out how to control the player on the outside screen. I read enough of the Help in the game to see what controls on the keyboard controlled what, and so at first thought it was inside-screen only. Today I read more of the Help and found that when using the outside screen one simply had to touch either the left or right side of the screen to steer the player in each direction. So...it's not  accelerometer controlled,  BUT it's very nicely playable on the outside screen. Who knows, it might really be better controlled like that, since moving the screen around has the potential for making it harder to see the player racing down the mountain?

While navigating thru the menus, the responsiveness was sluggish, didn't quite look right. It had me worried about gameplay. But once the game started, everything was fine. Gameplay is smooth while racing down the mountain on either screen. I've still only played it a little bit, but it's going to be a great game while killing time in a doctors office, or some such. There are multiple paths one can take down the mountain, I think I saw 3 left or right choices along the way and have gone both directions in my two trips down the mountain. It seemed like there were more trees and warning-post things to steer around on the left side.  In spite of the iPhone commercials, I still don't have high expectations for graphics on such a small screen - somebody else might have more criticism for the game, but I thought the graphics were great for a phone game. All in all, if you like snowboard/skiing  games in general and want one for your phone, this one is very worth going thru the month-trial, then backup-and-restore-your-Brew-directory exercise.

Come on folks - lets see  some more reviews of Verizon games on the Env Touch!!! The flash games I've tried so far make it obvious that it's  worth paying $4 for a professionally developed game that was tweaked to run on a phone and FILL the screen. Only one of the flash games I've tried even filled the outside screen (3d Ping Pong) - the rest gave me a playing area the size of a normal flip-phone sized screen, which is a complete waste on a phone with a 3" screen.
