I think we should start a list of all the vzw games that support the use of the touch screen. If you have found any games that work on the touch screen, please post and tell us how you liked them so we dont buy a bad game Wink

This is a great idea. I think it would also be good to expand this list to include flash games people have found to work and enjoy. Here are my current games:

Squares 2
-works fairly well full screen on the external touch screen

Magnetism
-partial screen on the external

Ellipsis
-takes up 4/5 of the external
-kinda slow

Helicopter
-partial screen on the external
-pretty slow

Color Ball 2
-partial screen on the external
-isn't too slow

Ramps
-full screen on the external
-pretty entertaining

Has anyone found other functional (and fun) vzw or flash games?

It would be very helpful if you made a quick video of which game is which.

As i'm sure everyone who has looked for a Line Rider compatible with the touch, knows it will work but is INCREDIBLY slow to the point of being unplayable, and doesnt quite fit the screen.  I was wondering if anyone had downloaded the Line Rider iRide for the iPhone or iPod Touch?  Would that possibly work on the enV Touch!? I'm not sure what kind of file the applications for iPhones are and don't want to spend $2.99 until I know it will work...Anyone?   Huh?

Hi everyone. Here are a list of ones i've tried. just as an aside, i'd love to see more games take advantage of the large keyboard instead of trying to be trendy and make mediocre touch screen enabled games. or at the very least, enable them to be played on the internal or external screen.

Pacman- trying to play this using the touch screen is a exercise in frustration. If you've ever played pacman before, you know you need precise, split-second movements and the Env Touch's screen just can't provide that. I did try the swipe methos as well as the "virtual keypad". The swipe works bette then the virtual stick but it's still poorly implemented. Avoid this games unless they provide an update for internal screen usage.

BurgerTime delux- Really, the same exact issues as above. Nice graphic update though...

FarCry2- This one is pretty well unplayable as a touch game. Besides the problems I listed above, your finger will cover a good deal of the area you need to see exascerbating the problems. The sound is decent, graphics aren't bad, but if the controls are bad, it ruins the whole deal. this game would be fun using the internal keys.

The Game of life- This one works just fine as a touch screen game since you dont need quick precise movements. It playes just like it used to on the voyager, execpt for using the internal screen of course. It has the same missing features such as not being able to buy car or house insurance, but this has nothing to do with the touch interface. If you enjoy the Games of Life, this is a good buy.

The Oregon Trail- This is another cool touch enabled games that doesn't suffer from the need for quick movements for the most part. The fishing and hunting minigames prob would have been easier had they been with internal keys, but it doesn't break the game. I never played the original game, so I can't really say whats been changed, added or left out. The graphics are nice and vibrant and the animation is good.

cforman - thank you SO much for giving reviews of the games - AND links to them!!! I've spent a couple of hours on the flash game subject, and I just keep finding person after person saying 'just google and finds lots of flash games'. Well the viewable screen on all the ones  I've found would have fit on  the original ENV (tiny). Nobody anywhere else that I've found have given any specific examples of games that worked well or filled either screen, let alone links to any. So again, THANKS for taking the time to do so!!!

I also haven't found any list of Verizon games that play well - like the Need for Speed one. That one is awesome, and makes me only want to pay for comparable games, you know? But who knows what we'll get when purchasing the GIN games, because they don't give a clue as to how they'll play or look or be controlled on our phone.
