I have a Blackberry Pearl on Alltel, but am switching over to Verizon to do a family plan with the g/f.  Having a family plan with the data plan attached is too expensive for us to stomach right now.  I have brought this question up on the Versa site, and now I'm curious about the enV Touch.

Would the enV Touch be a good fill in for the Blackberry Pearl?  I do like the MS Outlook functionality of the Pearl and am hoping that if i go with the Touch BitPIM will catch up and add the Touch to their list of compatible phones.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Well it's really an unfair comparison with a smart phone and a "dumb" phone.  There will be some things that the touch can not do that the BB can just because of that fact.  I think that you would lose some features that you are used to by going with the touch.  but IMO i would definitely make the switch.  It all just varies on what you need out of a cell phone.
