So I switched from Sprint after 4 years to Verizon.  There are a few things I miss about Sprint i.e. the general pricing of service.  However I don't miss the god AWFUL customer service, spotty reception, lack of 3G in non urban areas and total lack of appreciation for the customer.  So far I am really impressed with the quality of Verizon's service.  It beats Sprint in everything except price, but I can't complain when the customer is treated as a CUSTOMER.

I love my Env Touch!  I had a Samsung Instinct with Sprint and liked it overall.   The phone was plagued with problems, but the feature set was good.  The Env Touch blows it away in every aspect though.  Solid build, great screens and the functionality are wonderful.  Sure the features on the Instinct worked, but they were far from reliable.  In a week of owning the phone I have no complaints.  VZ navigator is solid, the music player is fantastic with Rhapsody, the interface is smooth and quick with no hangups, the input options are unreal (T9, touch QWERTY, physical QWERTY...), battery life is more than enough, the web browser is fast and solid (compared to Instincts, and I like it better than Opera Mini) and Vcast videos WORK (unlike Sprint TV which is pixelated slide show garbage).

It's nice to have a phone that just works, exactly as advertised.  It's nice isn't it?

I just hope Verizon supports the phone well and we see firmware updates and a few more basic applications (facebook etc...).  Great job LG and Verizon!

Hi Telejammer.  Welcome to the forum.
It IS a great phone like you said...but we'll see if a good amount of apps are released for it.

Just as an FYI, the phone DOES have a Facebook app.

Well I made SOME progress.  I think the actual application may have more features (maybe?) but I am able to upload photos by doing the following:  on the Facebook mobile site I went to Profile, Settings, and added my cell phone number.  I received a text message with a code that I could type in underneath my cell phone number in Settings, click Save, and then I received another text message with a personal email address where I could email photos and it would be uploaded as a mobile upload on my Facebook Wall.  So I saved this email address by going to My Pictures on the phone, choosing a photo, clicking send, and under 'To Blog' I clicked new and added the facebook email address I was given.  Now every time I take a picture and click Send, I just click To Blog and choose the facebook address.

You can do this on Photobucket as well. You can even share them with facebook, myspace, send in email, and even get prints in any size.

Upload once, share everywhere for FREE!
