Yesterday i could text or view pics while listning to music...now today when i try the music stops till i exit it....any thoughts vert confused didnt change anything

Hm the music has always stopped playing when I view texts for me...

I'm with Viper, I have not been able to look at pictures or get text messages while I'm listening to music. Like you said, it will stop/pause your song until you get back to it but not during...sorry

Your right i had the env 3 and traded it for the touch...dont get why you can on the 3 but not touch that was real nice....

I can "write" a text while the music plays, however the time during which a text arrives or I'm simply reading it the music player pauses.  It's a weird set up, but I don't mind it, since the "quiet" time actually lets me read faster (my friends like sending long texts.)

Just today I was listening to music, while browing the web, and sporadically returning text messages as they came in.  The only time the music paused was while the text screen was on, once I started typing a reply or I ignored it the music automatically played again.

I could never view texts or pics with the music playing, either. I thought the reasoning behind turning the music off when viewing text messages was the text-to-speech function, but I can't figure out why they wouldn't allow you to look at pictures while listening to music. Too much going on for the phone to handle, maybe? I don't know. But I have an iPod, so I don't listen to music on my phone much anyway =P
