My understanding of how those aspects of a music file work, is that you would need to use a program designed to transfer the album info with the music to the phone like WMP11 or the Rhapsody software.  Hopefully someone else can offer more in-depth explanations here.

Hmm..would be nice if you could add some type of pic to it.

I get my music from LimeWire PRO (its legal as Pro!) and they backup the album art for you..so I have it all in a folder. I wonder if I put the image onto my memory card under the music if it would recognize it?

Alright, here'e what I've figured out so far.  You have to load all of your music onto the Rhapsody software.  Once it's on there, edit your track info and add some album art.  Once that is set, then sync up your Touch and the album art will come up.  The only bug about this is that the music has to be a .mp3.  I say this because all of my mp3 files worked with album art, but I had a few .AAC, and they didn't work.

That's all I've got.  Cheers.

Use WMP11.  It allows you to paste album art to each album.  If you right click on an individual song, select "Advanced Tag Editor" and then click the "Picture" tab.  There, you can paste album art to the front cover, back cover, etc.  Album art in WMP always transfers to your phone.  Before you sync, set "Sync Options" to not create folder hierarchy and not to convert songs.  Synced songs will appear on your card, but not in your my_music folder.  You'll just have to manually move them to that folder after they transfer.  I have about 500 songs on my card right now and every single one displays album art.

The songs that I transfered over from the original CDs using Windows Music Player, all came over with the Album art.  I used a conversion software (http://www.maniactools.com/) to convert all of my iTunes  .m4a files over to .mp3.  The songs all converted and transfered over just fine... but no Album art.
I'm going to try and just use Portrait view and ignore the fact that I should just start over and convert all of my original CDs using WMP so I can have the Album art.   Cry

Have a Mac and all my iTunes music has album art, when I transfer music to my microSD card, some has album art, some does not, how do you get them to all transfer with album art?

that one thing I've noticed about itunes, seems there are two different ways that it displays art. automatically getting the artwork associates it differently then when I've had to do it manually.

WMP11 should do that automatically as long as it was able to find and match the song via the artist or the song.

I just sync my phone to WMP11 and create a "Sync" list and it transfers the songs and album art right over without a problem.

Without the art its kinda meh. But with it it makes it easy to recognize who it is whil browsing it in the landscape mode.

I have the album art thing figured out using WMP v. 11  ... but sometimes I wind up with duplicate songs in my albums.  I browsed the chip and found that in some cases, I had duplicate files in .wma format.  Any idea where these came from?  Do I need to set up my sync to avoid this?
