you could have someone make you a flash timer and then use it in place of one of the fun animations, world clock or ez tip calc. countdown timers are realatively easy they are basically run using frames. The only problem could be if the phone lags it may throw off the timer animation, but it could be possible to try it and see if it works, the may be pretty big because of the frames, but if the graphics are minimal it may not not be too big. Also with the use of a few buttons it may be possible to have different timers set up for example one that would be a countdown timer from 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins etc. the only problem with this is you wouldn't be able to have any sounds incorporated into the swf.

OK, so this is what would be a pre-set thing. Like you said 5,10,15 min then when it finishes you could have the screen flash a bunch of colors or something. But what about the screen time out? How big would this type of program be?

What I really want is a real timer that you can program to count down any time. Then it would alarm ANY sound from your tones. Hey a guy can dream right Wink

Thanks mmb27! Smiley

it might be possible to make a programable one, I would have to do some flash research to figure out how to make it using coding. as far as sounds unless it is a bought app or whenever vzw starts releasing free third party apps the sounds are a no go because the files you would overwrite don't have sounds. another option would be to make a time specific mp4 with a sound at the end of the set time, but then again you would be stuck with set times that aren't programable.

There is another way to acces a timer: you can go to www.online-stopwatch.com (but look for it in SWF format) and then use that stopwatch on your mobile phone device. Probably works better when using the external screen, but the intenal screen works... you still gotta use the directional keys on the right side and move the "mouse" over between "Start" and "Stop/reset" or when using the timer part, you'd have to set the hours, minutes, and seconds before using the timer/countdown (in Hr:min:sec.milliseconds).
