That's a shame, but indeed, people who have "Connect" Plans should consider dropping down to "Select" and then add the "Smart Phone" data plans to the lines.
One thing to keep in mind, is that if you have any form of corporate discount because of your employeer, this is only applied to the "main line." So 9 times out of 10 it's best to keep as many of the charges on that main line than to thin out the charges individually by line. You want to get the most of out of the discount.

Lucky. Only the primary line gets the discount on our 4-Line Family Plan.

Yes, I agree. I was disappointed to learn that my company's VZW corp. discount is only for the primary line and not all of them. But I can see the point since not everyone on the family plan is working at the company - most likely only the primary line account holder is.

Thanks for that! I'll definitely be a "lurker" to see what real people think of the device. As I find myself more and more on the road due to travel, the thought of having a device fully integrated into my Google Accounts is a dream come true.

I got to play with the Droid today. The first thing you will notice is the display. The crisp and vibrant colors are impressive. The second thing I noticed is how snappy it processes web pages and touch commands. It is a lot like the iPhone in that respect and being used to the enV touch's touchscreen I was hitting the icons on the droid a bit to hard. The screen is so much more responsive due to the fact that it is a capacitive touchscreen. More importantly for touch users considering changing over to the droid is the slide out qwerty...only using it for a few minutes became a bit annoying and many times I keyed the incorrect letter. The buttons are completely flat and it seemed cramped...the touch's physical keyboard is much better to type on however the droids virtual qwerty seemed a bit easier to use. One thing I noticed was how scattered Androids OS felt and it was confusing. It will take some time to really dig into it and navigate it to its full potential. It is not as user friendly as the iPhone but we all know thats what Apple prides themselves on.

There will always be a better, cooler phone on the horizon. If you are constantly waiting for the "best" one to finally come out, you will be waiting a long time.

I'm still within my 30 period to see if I want to keep my touch or not so I was thinking about the droid. Can't decide if I wanna pay $80 a month though (450min with 500 txts). These plans seem kinda hard to commit to for someone without a legit job (student).

I'm definitely considering a Droid since I'm on my THIRD enV Touch. I've been told by Verizon that if this third phone dies within 90 days they're required to offer me a brand new phone, and it doesn't have to be another Touch. The only thing I'm NOT looking forward to is the higher bill, but I pay about $70/mo as it is, so $80/mo isn't too big of a deal I guess...
But what is this Passion/Dragon spoken of?

The Passion/Dragon is rumored to be a CDMA version of the HTC Leo. A 4.3" capacitive beauty. Now the current Leo/HD2 runs WinMo, the Passion/Dragon is rumored to run Android while sporting the 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

Here's a very comprehensive review of the Motorola Droid for Verizon Wireless.
