sorry for all the new topics but none of the questions/comments have to do with each other and will probably be talked about so i thought i would start new topics for them.

from what i have researched on this phone, the battery life is going to suck. is there any confirmations on this? on phonearena's website it has it listed as one of the lowest battery life's for verizon's phones. i know this website isnt always accurate but most times they are. but if it is true, why? why such a low battery? it doesnt seem that it would be that hard to keep a decent battery for one of the new phones.

Don't forget the first fifteen to twenty discharge-charge cycles of a battery will vary. I have had other phones/pda's that take a couple weeks for good battery life to show up. My old BB 8330 would last far longer if charged with a lower powered charger (motorola) versus the BB one. Go figure.

Can battery life be improved by updates?

Sure, by re-writing code to making the phone and applications run more efficiently.

My battery has been ok so far. I got mine on release day, and it has had two bars left every night. Ive been playing around with it a lot too...

Yesterday was my first full day with the phone.
I used the camera a lot,
took a few vids.
Texted maybe 50 texts
Went on line twice, once to facebook, and once to youtube.
Listened to a bit of music
Messed around with menus a bit

All from about 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM and I had 0 bars of battery left.
I'm KINDA dissapointed but it DID hold up all day so its ok...

Lets just hope the battery life improves over charge cycles and updates.

whats vzw gonna do about it though?   i mean it seems to be a general problem...i guess only LG or verizon could fix it with a firmware?  and who knows if that could even happen..i dont wanna get the bigger batt either, but the life is pretty sucky on this bad boy
