Does anyone know if I can somehow extend my battery life while it's at work? I usually have no/low service there, and my phone is always dead by 5. Is there anything I cna do aside form turning it off?

put in airplane/standalone mode, not sure what it is called on the touch, then it won't be looking for a signal

Oh my freaking god thank you

I would have never thought that would work, ahaha

Too bad I cant Toggle it by tapping the Signal Bars on the Home screen...but that's a job for some hackers lol.

I wish there was an app like Locale on the G1 so that I could make it turn to Airplane mode + silent while I am at work. Dang.

That may save battery life but I hate using the touch screen on my Voyager without it.  I like knowing right when the phone has registered my touch.

FYI to all I walked into VZW store today and told them the situation of my battery, it wouldn't hold a charge for the whole day and I found myself carrying my charger with me ugh not what I wanted to do with a new phone  Cry  so after listening to me complaiin for a few minutes they gave me another battery off a new model phone they had in stock (no price) and so far so good. I haven't had to charge it and it went all day with 24/7 texting and a few phone calls still with 2 cells left!!  Cheesy  so to all who read's you may want to consider some complaining to get a new battery out of it!!  Wink

Over this past week my battery experience has gotten a lot better
i went from barely making it through a day to now going 2.5 days w/o charge.

I'm pretty happy

The battery life for me has been phenomenal.  The coverage indoors here isn't best as the tower is on the other side of town.  I have texted, sent pic & video messages, taken pics & videos, browsed the web a lot including watching videos on the full YouTube site, and going on day 2 on the same charge, I still have 2 cells left on the battery.  This is 1000 times better than the life of my Voyager.  I can not believe this is still going.  I am using the extended battery for the Touch which used the same mAh as the Voyager, so I didn't expect much of a difference and am extremely satisfied with the results!!!
