I've been trying to put some videos on my phone.  I've tried dvdvideosoft and super.  I want to have the videos fit the screen and be of good quality.  Everytime I use dvdvideosoft the converted file comes out much larger in size than the original.  When I use super sometimes I get an error and sometimes I don't.  I've read a lot of the threads on here about formats so I know my choices are mp4 and 3gp.  I'm not sure about the codec (H.263, H.264, MPEG-4), what to make the bitrate, or what to make the physical size of the video in pixels.  I'm assuming for real movies that they are in 16:9 (widescreen), and thats what, 800x450?  What about other videos that I just want to fill the screen?  Will 800x480 work?

Should my converted videos actually be larger than the original?

What is the resolution and how is the quality?

EDIT: 2 videos and they both came out good with these settings:

This size is not good for regular movies, its too tall.  I'm assuming it should be 16:9. but right now its 5:3, or 15:9.  Next I'll try 800x450, which is 16:9.

did you use 3G or MP4 video?  I have the Voyager and while I was able to get both 3G2 and MP4, only 3G worked okay - MP4 was nicer frame-for-frame, but ran blocky.
