I was wondering if i had to hit the unlock button to "wake up" the phone? I find it pretty annoying that i either have to hit the unlock button twice or hit the unlick button and then swipe the touch screen. Is there a way to adjust this setting? So that maybe I could just swipe the touch screen to unlock the phone?

Thanks for any help. Sorry if this is easy and I am just over looking some basic functionaolity. I just got the phone today and I can't find my answer in the manual.

Thanks.

Go to menu, settings, touch settings, Auto Lock -> OFF

If you don't have this off, you still have to tap the phone to wake it, you just don't have to slide your finger up.

If you didn't have to wake up your phone you'd constantly butt dial and use lots of battery life. Bad Bad

I did see that setting. But, it eliminates the screen wipe all together. What I really want is to avoid pressing the unlock key altogether and just use the screen wipe to unlock the device.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks.

As far as I know that's not possible, but you don't have to press the unlock key, you can press any button on the phone and the screen will light up.

Alternatively you could make the screen stay on longer.

This.

But I don't recommend having the screen run longer lit. It will suck the battery life like no other. Right now I can listen to about 2 hours of music per bar if I am not messing with the phone while its playing because it locks and shuts the backlight off in 7 seconds.

But when I want to do anything I press the C button and then slide up.
