Today I decided to take the Phantomskinz cover off of the metallic areas on the front of my touch. After being on the phone for about eight months, they were getting a little discolored due to pocket-lint, etc. getting underneath the edges.

My question is - for those of you who have had the touch for a while, how are the metallic areas holding up? I know the ones on my brother's voyager are in bad shape. If it's the same way with the touch, I guess I'll put the extras from phantomskinz on. If not, I really like the feel of the phone better without the plastic skin on the front.

I have one major scuff on my metallic area, I was drunk and dropped it on concrete, my fault completely.  Otherwise it's survived almost a year without protection.

I was sent a full body shield but have only used the screen protector.  I had the same problem on my voyager with the nasty dirt making the shield look disgusting on most parts of my phone.

I'm actually thinking of taking my screen protector off... I think the phone feels much better without it on.  Not sure if I want to risk it.  I'm trying to keep my phone for as long as possible without having to change my contract and be forced to pay the additional 9.99 bull s*** data charge.
