Love it, hate it, somewhere in the middle? Let's hear your thoughts.

I feel its just another stab at the all mighty Apple corp. Im surprised they can get the rights for that but not Voyager 2.

I personally hate the new name. Its not an EnV and shouldn't be labeled as one, I think they could have become a little more creative with the naming of the phone.

Yeah, I think enV Touch is a little "hey let's state the obvious" as the qwerty is somewhat adopted from the enV line, and the touch means it's touchscreen. I think they could have named it a little something better, not the Voyager 2 like they had planned, but something that would stick in peoples' minds a little better.

Ya anything would have been better IMO. Somebody on VLG's site said something like the enterprise which sounds pretty good.haha. I don't know, I don't think they thought out the name very much. The Voyager 2 would have been good with me if they could have used it. But i'm biased as I have the Voyager.

I think I'm going to refer to this phone as the LG enV Touché hahaha.

I've decided just to stick with "Touch" when I refer to this phone. In my opinion, labeling it with enV anywhere in the name insinuates a step backwards in technology, instead of a step forward.

IMO, the name doesn't mean anything. When people see it, they'll be amazed! It looks to be a great phone as was its predicesor (spelling?)

Like Dark Side said I'm not to keen on it, obviously the enV part came from the keyboard and they could have came up with something cooler, like the crucifier or something Either way it could have been better.

For those who don't know, Plantronics owns the rights to the name 'Voyager' in the cell phone world. My understanding is that they would not license 'Voyager' for use as Voyager 2, thus the name change.

That's the same story I have read every where that the issue of the name change has been discussed. That doesn't make the enV Touch name any more acceptable though.

The name reminds me of the release of the Nissan Armada- it was called the Nissan Armada Pathfinder. By golly yes that huge SUV is actually a Nissan. Next model year the name was shortened to Armada. Oddly enough my 8 yr old son pointed out that the envy2 had button problems galore, won't this new one have the same problems, dad? But the did finally ressurect the "chocolate'......Should just called this phone Da bomb. lol.

Yeah, they should have stuck with something with Voyager in the title. You gotta wonder if LG was trying to get away from the name because of the issues they had with the Voyager. I know a few people that had a lot of issues with their voyager.
