so has anybody got it working at all?  i've tried what other forums have said, mainly:

get the newest LG driver.
get the newest bitpim.
set phone to versa.

then apparently you can read the file system...yeah well, i can't.  i've tried everything and it still doesn't work.  any ideas anyone??

Voyager settings do NOT work. When you try to either get or send data, the phone restarts. I was also not able to save contacts after trying it, I had to restore the phone.

I tried the Dare, the voyager as well as the env models. When I tried with the env models I got an error saying "the provider had blocked access" or something like that. The rest I tried restarted the phone with no success.

I have never really explored what qpst can do other than using it for screen shots. what is the other program, does it work on cdma phones? I also have lgpst or what ever it is called but haven't really played with it either.

Bitpim works for me if you manually set the phone to Versa. I was able to use the filesytstem and upload some wallpapers. Also I used some old wallpapers from my Voyager 10K and they work fine with no resizing. I just upgraded so I'll keep you guy posted on what else I find. Anyone know of any cool 3rd party widgets yet?

Widgets as in applications?  Never going to happen.  You can't install 3rd party apps, other than some basic swf files, onto Verizon's non-smartphones.  You would have to crack the BREW system and the cost of doing that isn't worth the effort.
