The Dare and the Voyager both work.
I tried both those settings and it still couldn't seem to find the port to communicate with.  I even tried moving the USB connection to every USB slot I have on my laptop.  Is there something special I have to set the configurations to besides the phone type?

Ok lets go through it step by step.
 1. find the icon that has the phone and magnifying glass to detect your phone.

2.Then it should tell you that it has found other CMDA phone on whatever usb port you are plugged into

3. Right after it tells you it found your phone, go to the menu up top and click Edit-Settings

4. Then it should open up a window that looks like this....

5.  Click to get the drop down menu where it says phone type. And select the voyager or dare settings.

6. Hit ok, then you will see a folder that is just a plain "/ " Mark, click on that folder and after a minute it should open up the filesystem.

Hope this helps you get BitPim up and running.

OK,  I found out why it didn't work...  BTW thanx for the help... Anyways, the problems was so simple, I flippin' want to kick my self in the groinal area! Shocked  All I had to do was download the driver for the phone inorder for the computer to recognize what COM Port the Touch was on!  I give everyone that would say: "Well, duh..." permission to give me a groinal slap.  Undecided

Thanks for the help Dark Side and others!

BitPim now has the Touch as a supported phone.  http://www.env-touch.com/index.php?topic=577.new#new

So you should be able to just use that.
