Hey everyone,

The past few days I've struggled to get bitpim to work on my intel mac, but I finally got it to work. (Thank god Roll Eyes Grin Tongue)  Now, here are the settings you need to get bitpim to work on your Mac.

Download the latest version of Bitpim and do the following:

1. Use your phone and go to Settings & Tools -> USB Auto Detection (9)

2. Change the option and select Modem Mode

3. Plug in your phone & open Bitpim

4. Go to Bitpim -> Preferences

5. Change the phone type to the LG-VX10000 (Voyager)

6. Below phone type, you should find the Com Port option. Hit Browse and there will be several different ports that'll show up.

7. Look under =====AVAILABLE PORTS=====

8. Pick the one that says (*) USB Device - Vendor LG Electroncs, Product VX Series Phone (Direct USB connection), (Interface Diagnostics Interface)

9. After you pick the port, hit ok. You should return to the settings window and the Com Port should have something like this -    usb::007::002-1004-6000-02-00::2

There we go, & we're done!   Let me know if you have any questions, I tried to make this as simple as possible. =) Enjoy!

Great post Sydas.

Which MacOSX are you running?

My research shows that Leopard 10.5.x and later has native support for the LG modem mode.
