just got v09 today. as i have seen so far, the browser seems to be the only change. the browser has many more zoom options than just 3. it automatically zooms in to your log in screen/password. saves login and pw. easier to use tab manager. can use google maps without problems now. new interface. and so far no crash. i'll post if i notice anything else.

Any one else having a problem getting to v9 from v8. I did the wazoo upgrade from v7 to v8, everything went fine, but now when I run the updater it says I have the lastest version (v08) and no update is needed. Any suggestions?

Just got V09 at the Verizon store. I only had V04 at first, the update only took 25 minutes. My Iphone Blue inspiration mod is gone now. There must have been a Blue Inspiration update and since I saved it with the same name I guess it was overwritten. I have to put it back later. My Transformer fun animation mod it still there. I like the new Browser. Much better. I don't see the speakerphone update that V07 was said to have. Thanks for keeping me informed on the updates. BTW is there a new Iphone theme?

If V09 allows you to use the browser with "fit to width-automatic" and "fixed width" as your display settings and allows the text size to go beyond microscopic I am going to pass out with joy. Unlike others, I DO use the browser a lot on my phone...or try to. But, up until now the max font size you could obtain, while still having the whole web page fit on the screen, was so small as to make you blind.
I'm off to Verizon right now to try to get V09. Will report back about the browser.

Go Yankees! So how are you liking the new browser? I'm back with my report. Went to Verizon. The update from V07 to V09 took about 20 minutes...total...from in the door to out. Everything went as smooth as silk. And now for the LOVELY news. The new Browser is a Super Delicious Dreamboat. OK, I know the Touch is not a smartphone, but this new browser makes me not miss having a smartphone nearly as much. You can enlarge the text as much as anyone would want by just continuously holding down the "+" icon. It is incredibly nice on the eyes. You can set the screen to wrap the text so there is no need to scroll around like a madman (or woman) to view web page contents. I have written and called Verizon over a half dozen times, since getting my Touch last November, about the font size limitations of the browser (and until a couple months ago mobile e-mail too). Now I have to give them their due credit. They have updated the Touch to the point where it is a seriously nice semi-smart phone. Again, for those of you who don't use the browser this update may not matter too much to you. But, if you do use the Touch to access the Web then you HAVE to upgrade to V09.

^ Thanks for the update. Looks like LG/VZW finally found a winner, at least for those who use the e T for Web browsing, which I do not.
Now if LG/VZW would fix texting, such as auto capitalization after punctuation marks, fixing the left and right buttons so that left = previous message and right = next message (instead of the opposite way that currently exists) and allowing custom words to be retained in memory forever.

Yankees, Good write up I wasn't a big fan of web browsing on the Touch unitl now. Now it makes me want to use the Touch for web browsing more often. I think this is a plus even for the casual internet users.

The LGMobile Support Tool update from ver 7 to ver 9 worked on Vista first try. XP failed three times.
