Updated to V7 a couple weeks ago. A couple changes;
1- Does randomly shut off, sometimes re-boots itself
2- Battery life is slightly shorter
3- Mobil Banking is now available. (not sure if thats because of V7, or it just became  available for this phone.)
4- Speakerphone while closed. (yes inconvenient to use)

When you say it reboots itself, do your settings erase/reset too?

I just updated to V07 on the first try right through the LG Software Updater.  No hangups or any other issues, luckily.  I just followed the directions.  I do like the calibration checking.  Good to know how accurate I am with respect to the points on the screen.
Also, one little thing I noticed right away in the browser is the auto-zoom button in the bottom left of the screen now disappears along with the +/- zoom buttons .  This was a pleasant surprise because the auto-zoom button was preventing me from clicking links to log out of sites.  Nice little detail.
But, I literally just did the update.  So, if anything else comes up that I notice, I'll post again to let you all know.

First post here for me, after checking everything out for the last month or so...

I had recently taken my phone to a local Verizon store and got it updated from v04 to v07.  It took about 15 minutes or so to get it done.  Rather fast.  At least faster than if I did it at home according to all that I've read in this thread.

I've noticed a few things that have already been mentioned.  Can't wait to see what might be on deck in future firmware updates.

The EnV Touch arrived last week and one issue was the lack of a speakerphone without opening up the phone.

That said, the hardest part of the upgrade yesterday was finding the LG Updater software on their site; is it just me, or is that site not very well laid-out?

The upgrade was uneventful and took less than 15 minutes, from the LG client software download/install to the upgrading of the phone to V07.

I didn't realize until afterwards how much I missed the speakerphone!  Unfortunately the microphone's sensitivity doesn't quite match the speaker's intensity, but this is a significant improvement!

The battery ran down just as fast as before; so the phone's not perfect, but it definitely is great!

Will I have a problem getting the firware 07 update at a Verizon store if I have Bit-Pim mods on my phone? I have clock and fun animations mods. Will they be erased? or will It void any warranties?
Thanks,

You don't have to open it up.  The bottom right hand side of the screen is a menu button that when pressed, has a few options and one of them is speaker on. Wink

Yes, I've used that a few times, but the speaker sounds much better when the flip is open, so I use that most of the time.

we've had our phones two days, the wife's phone had connectivity issues where it only had an "EV" bar and no "1X" and was always saying "searching for signal" when at home. I updated it this evening and it fixed that issue.

Other than that, great phone, I've had no issues at all yet (knock on wood)
