I'll try out the firmware update when I get a chance - but it might not be for a little while.
Don't bother.  I got mine updated yesterday, and I can't see that they fixed anything.  The phone still reboots on the same websites.  Ugh.

There is the new feature of using the speakerphone with the phone closed, so that alone may be worth the update.

Definitely looking forward to this.  I got a refurb after putting my original Touch through the wash, so it's been sorta glitchy.  Perhaps it's the V05 on it, perhaps it's the actual resistive surface.  **crosses fingers**

The tech at the store told me that it was just the speakerphone function and possibly something with the mobile email.  Didn't see anything with the email yet, and was disappointed that there isn't a function on the front to turn on speakerphone.  Unless I totally missed something.  Im guessing you still have to push the button on the inside, then close the phone.... Sad

Hi folks.

For me I have noticed with version 7 that the calibration program is different, there is much better battery performance and significant improvement in signal strength.

If that's the case with the speakerphone, that's kinda silly of them.  LOL

You can turn the speakerphone on during a call. Hit the In-call menu button (bottom right) and then hit the "Speaker On" choice. Your speakerphone will stay on for that call only.

I think my screen is broken.  The calibration for the bottom left dot is always off no matter what.

Thanks for clarifying!

V05 Has Been Out for at least a month, check out the V05 thread, it'll give you a good idea of when it came out at the stores and through the uploader.

So far I haven't had any issues with the V05 to V07 upgrade, but I'm definitely not seeing this new calibration mentioned so far.

The calibration program with v07 offers the choice of verifying the calbiration before saving the settings. Perhaps it was already like that for v05? I did not run a calibration during the brief time I had version 5. I decided to perform a cal with version 7 since I had some issues with the touch screen after updating.
