I am usually good w/ this type of stuff, but i cant find where i would upgrade it! There is not option under my phone settings to check for updates. And when I use the LG Updater, it gets stuck on 35% and it says "checking phone model". Someone please help!

You have to go to the Verizon store to get it updated.

There were problems with the DIYS software install systems so they switched back to requiring you to get the upgrade done in-store.

Sorry if this thread is too old, but I feel if I were to make my own thread, I would be told to search...

If I take my phone in to a store to have it updated, do I have to pay anything?

And also, do I need an update?
My phone says its software is VX11KV03, is there anything more recent?

The most utd firmware is VX11KV04.

If you are having any problems with your phone like resets (phone turns on/off by itself). Or really any other issues mentioned on Env-touch.com about the V03 firmware, I highly recommend that you take your phone to your local Verizon Store and have it updated to V04.

I hope this answers your question

OK, I'm not having any problems at the moment... (I probably just jinxed it.)

And, do I have to pay for the update?

you do NOT have to pay for updates but in my experience, if you are not having problems with version3 do not update to version4. I updated  to ver.4 and wish i didn't, now my phones has all the issues that people complain about. I should of kept version3............BOO on version4 update! Angry
