I left for 1/2 hour and came back and it was pretty much done. The rep told me 30-45 minutes max.

ahh, nice. I'll head over right now then and do it. I remember when i had the voyager and it took like an hour to update.

Thats about the right amount of time for the update07 takes to download. Havent had any problems with the new upgrade as of yet.

The DIY method took me only 12 min., which is much faster than the 18-20 min. the previous FW updates took.

I was able to update to ver. 05 in about 15 minutes but after 3 days trying to get ver07 I went to the store where it took 15 minutes. Angry

How in the world do you guys get it to work? Every time I try to do it it get stuck at 7% then says it cannot connect to the phone......

Annoying as crap really....

NVM. It doesn't like my PC for some reason, had to use my old PC with XP.

Make sure you have the latest USB driver version 4.9.6.  Also, removing the micro SD card before you start is recommended.  I'm not sure what you've tried already, but just a couple little helpful hints.  I did mine on a Vista PC, in case that's what you were trying before you used your XP one.

The tech at the store said my phone was being "stubborn" but once he got it started the update took about 15 minutes.
