i read these forums a bit, even though this is my first post. I see the same kinds of questions being asked tons of times, and sometimes the information people want is actually pretty hard to find. Even using the search function, the info is spread across many different posts and so answers are not always clear. In this forum in particular, i think that the following stickies would be extremely useful:

1. How to upgrade your firmware: besides bringing it to a verizon store, the exact steps one needs to take to find a firmware update from LG, how to connect the phone to the computer, and how to perform the upgrade. basically include the DOs and DONTs so people don't brick their phones and whatnot. perhaps include possible issues ppl run into and the solutions (eg update gets stuck or something)

2. Firmware update X: For each firmware update, the known changes, bugs, approx release date, etc.

These stickies could be updated on a fairly regular basis once info becomes known. for example, even though there is only one thread allowed for discussing version 7, there is no single post that can clearly outline all the info i listed above in one location. you really have to comb through pages and pages to try to get all the info. these discussion threads are essential, but i believe a sticky with agreed upon info would save everyone time and frustration when they just want to quickly know what's new.

let me know what you think. i know such stickies would be very helpful to me when i come here.

Maybe it's just me but I have had no problems finding any kind of info here.  I have had this phone for a few months now and have learned a lot.  Learned how to upgrade the phone(never did that before), use a program called BitPim for the files, install swf files.  I think next I'll try my luck at clocks and then themes.  It's all here, but then again I guess it's how you look.  Would stickies help??  Sounds like it might.

I think it'll definitely help, but it's probably against the "logic" of the rules.

What exactly do you mean by that?

i hope they will have update on the firmware that will allow the screen to rotate corresponding to the way u turn it (forgot what its called....). Just like the blackberry storm.... u rotate it for anything including the main screen not just for texting or going on the internet...
