My phone has been just  shutting itself down lately, unexpectedly. I thought I'd try a firmware update. But every time I run the LG Updater, it says my obviously old firmware is already up to date. Anyone have  a clue why it would do that?? Is there another way to grab a newer firmware?

I don't know for sure about the updater, since I have dial-up and don't use it, but you can go to your local VZW store and they can update your firmware.

Yeah what Russell said, just take to Verizon and have them do the update. The lastest ver. is V09.

How much is it for them to update it?

VZW stores do it free of charge.
