I am willing to risk frying the phone just to be caught up, I didn't know that updating the firmware could damage the phone. Logged CptTom Executive Staff Cookies: +0/-0 Offline Gender: Posts: 209 Re: Updating from VX11KV04? « Reply #5 on: January 21, 2012, 11:18:06 PM » Before they start they will back up your info.  Anytime you flash it you run the risk of bricking it.  Same as flashing the BIOS on your computer or eprom.  I know of a few that have had to update from v7 and v4 with no issues.  You should be fine.  If they brick it they give you another.
