I went to the VZW store to get a replacement phone yesterday. The store employee looked at my phone and told me my V10 was TWO software updatws behind Huh?. I was suprised to hear from him that V12 was available at the stores. I guess to fix the V10 problems (don't know what V11 does). However, when he tried to apply it my phone started power cycling so he just gave me a new phone. He was also unable to put V12 on the new phone. He said there are some problems with upgrading to V12 so I guess we have to wait awhile for that. Nice to know they are working on a fix. Fortunately, the new Touch they gave me has V09. I can live with that for now. They also said if this one power cycles they will give me a different phone. At least this rep admits that there is a problem with the touch.

Cool, but I wonder what happened to V11.  Looks like V10 was bad.  Thanks for the heads up.

V11 probably had the same defect as V10 and they went straight to V12. Roll Eyes

Turns out that V11 is an OTA update.  While on lunch at work I happened to check and sure enough my phone updated to V11. Hope the power cycling issue is no more starting now.

Please keep us updated as to how well it works.  If all is good within a month, I may even try it. laugh

I downloaded V11 this morning.  So far, so good.  Browser seems to be a little faster.

What? I was just forced at 9:35AM to update my phone to V11 at school (drained my battery since the screen was on all the time), Seriously Verizon needs to shut up with these automatic updates, I needed my phone today.

I had sent in my Env Touch this past Wednesday because it was stuck in the power cycling with V10 and received a "Like New Refurb" with V09 a couple hours ago it also attempted to update to V11 but it autorejected the update and now it doesn't see it anyway I can update it without going to the store now? :|

It's tempting but, I think I'll wait awhile to see how it works for trhose who have V11. Right now my V09 is  not so bad. Except for the power cycles when I try to go to or am on the internet. I don't think I can go from V09 to V11 OTA though.

My wife has been using version 11 on her phone for a couple of days now with no issues.  She uses her phone a lot.  For internet, texting, multimedia messages,....  No reboots or power cycling.....

I hope 12 is available soon.  Mine was running great with 10. Read of problems with 11, so I figured I'd pass. The OTA updater worked on it's own! The dam thing never worked when I tried it. Now my external speaker doesn't work. Not sure about recycling yet. I think I want Droid.

I've been on V11 for a few days now and I haven't had any issues with the power cycling and such.  Before updating to 11, I did the block/accept incoming text workaround, and it would keep the issue at bay for a few days and then it would come back.  Now with 11 it's been 5 days and everything's alright up to this point.
