I just called and the salesperson walked over and check tech service and they said that they have the envtouch software update instore.    Should take about an hour i was told.

You can't do it at home anymore. You used to be able to use the LG Updater Tool to update the firmware but it was buggy and didn't really work for a lot of people so they took it off.  Then you could only go into Verizon store and I assume they had trouble as well so they stopped that (?).

I guess they fixed the problem now but I wonder if you can update it with he LG Updater again...

I heard two people talking in verizon while their phones were getting updated.  I overheard them say about the battery and touch sensitvity.

it also fixes face beautify on the internal screen (used to crash the phone) and they fixed the infinite loop of power cycling some people got when receiving texts over 160 char.

Yeah I got v04 when I purchased my Lg Env Touch on July 28th. It fixed the infinite loop cycling, web browsing url glitch, battery life, and a few others. I never experienced any problems, and if any of you have, I recommend upgrading to the latest. It is the best!  Wink
