just wondering if anyone knows if there will be a version 5 ever. i love the phone but there are so many little glitches in the software that really get on my nerve.  sometimes it beeps even when on vibrate, switches to ABC even when i have it in predictive. I wish predictive would learn new words, but sometimes it'll switch the order of words in the list of predicted words. (i.e. when i type "thats" i get "thatp," "thatr," and "thatq" before i get "thats."  How the eff does that make sense? i know thats why it has 2 keyboards but sometimes i like my 0-9 keypad.

bottom line, v05, yes or no?

"thats" is not a word either, but I'm surprised it doesn't present "that's" as a choice.

I have no idea if or when V05 is coming, but hopefully it will and sooner than later.  angel

It's not. You're lying.

Let's try to avoid calling someone a liar before you have a chance to get some more details. This wouldn't be the first time that someone in one geographical area was able to get a firmware update before people in another area.

yessir thanks a lot for that link...download v05 and so far the only difference is the calibration, and it grays out things on the add shortcut list that are already there so you cant double up, and yes its def faster too.  wish they did a lot more though, contemplating returning the phone cause i kept it in hopes of v05 fixing everything that annoyed me.

I just updated to version 5 using the LGMobile Updater with no problems, don't really notice much difference, although I was wondering if it is just my ears playing tricks on me, or if the ringers sound even quieter than before, the call volume also seems quieter than before, which I didn't think was possible..lol but honestly it is prob. just my ears, so I don't want to make anyone hesitant about upgrading, I am just wondering if other people who have upgraded to version 5 notice any volume changes in calls/ringers..Thanks

I went to change my external wallpaper this morning and noticed that while you still have 2 choices for setting the picture, the second choice has changed.

The first choice is still 'Adjust Position and Size'

The second choice now is simply 'Center'

if you're using threaded messaging, now next to the name of each person you are having a conversation with, it's an open envelope if they last said something to you, and a closed envelope with either a check mark or green arrow if you last said something to them.  this sucks because if you last said something to them the envelope icon is always closed, so if you have an unread message that went unnoticed you dont know right away by a closed envelope icon, because everyone you answered has a closed envelope icon. it's actually really annoying.

I just upgraded mine to V05.  It took about 12 min. through the software uploader.  I forgot to remove my microSDHC card, but that didn't seem to be a problem.

Edit:  I only used my phone for ~5 min. after the FW update.  Then I went to work, so I'll play around w/ the phone a bit more when I go home.  Nothing seems to stand out as an obvious difference.  Also, the FW file was about 96 MB or so that it downloaded.  I was doing other things during the 12 min. it took, so I didn't make note of it, other than occasionally glancing.  I didn't see the update hang or pause anywhere.  On the HoFo link someone posted, apparently some say the download freezes temporarily at 7% before continuing.  I don't think that happened w/ mine.  I wonder if and when this FW will be available at VZW stores.
