Also, during the time of the update, your phone would be out of service.

Exactly!  That's why I created the thread below.

No, it's still not on the LG Updater.  It'll be there before it's available in the VZ stores.  I almost think they release these updates via the Updater first, then wait to see if anybody complains about bugs.  If not, then they put it in the stores.  That's been the pattern so far.

How come it's telling me that v5 is the latest update and I don't need to update?

I'm on version 3 and the updater is telling me that's the latest! I wish I could get up to v7.

It seems that lg pulled the plug on all env touch updates, some users have reported that the env touch is no longer in the supported list (which it isn't, I checked earlier), so that means that for now, you can't update it at all.

Eeek.

I have v08 on my phone, how do I extract a .bin file for everyone else to udpate with?

I did finally get the v07 download from Rapidshare but not sure I'll be able to get it installed.

Wow, this seems like a risky upgrade.  Other than possible Web browser benefits, does V08 introduce or fix anything worthwhile?  I'm at V07 and don't have data access, so I don't care about the Web browser.

Hello everyone and good day.

The VX11000 has been put back on the LG updater list of supported phones for VX11KV07 (firmware v7).

Has anyone tried at a VZW store today or yesterday??  Maybe it'll end up being an update that requires a tech to be on stand-by.

I doubt they'll bring back V08. If they make any significant changes, it will probably be labeled V09. I wonder if the common LG updater bugs will be worked out after this snafu.

Or V08b, haha, I kid.

I'm hoping they address this sooner rather than later since this new browser seems extremely promising.
