I'm running it now. I figure I'm 2 weeks in and I need to know if I'm going to keep this thing so I 'll chance it You need to use the LG update software to get it for now which is available here http://mobilephones.us.lge.com/softwaredownload.aspx Sadly it is windows only as far as I see. Luckily I have an old windows box laying around for such occasions. Seems a bit large to me at about 96mb for an OTA update. I probably won't get to test it out much until tomorrow. Update. Alright I lied I had to test a couple of things. First once downloaded I would say it took only around 10 minutes to run. I really wasn't paying attention. 2 things that don't seem to be fixed that I was hoping for are the clicking on a phone number in the web browser and having it call that number. (IE looking up a restaurant on google) and the fixed width display mode still does not zoom the text properly. I want to save all other observations for when i'm not so tired so that's where I'll leave it for now.

Hm thats interesting... and its v04? I kind of assumed public releases would go by odd numbers and internal builds would go by even numbers like the voyager did... Let me know what you think of it!

I closed it when it froze like that and restarted it. It started right up the second time. Doing mine now!
Edit. I click on update phone and it just crashed right away. I can't get any farther than that. I have all the drivers and the updater...

What version of Windows are you guys running? I guess I will try to do a restart. It'll open after I set the options. But freeze when I click on update.

Well I just downloaded VX11KV04 using the LG Updater software without any problems, I am using a Toshiba Satellite laptop running with Vista. The download did take awhile, was 96mb, but I did not loose any settings, contacts, or anything of that nature, I did make sure to remove my micro sd card as LG instructs you to do. I have been through all the menus and so far nothing seems different, I have noticed that the touch screen is a touch more fluid I would say for the better, also I THINK the sound is louder, my ringtones sound seems like it is atleast, but that might be the fact that it is 2am and I am tired..lol.. but I just wanted to let everyone know that I did download the latest firmware using LG Updater without any problems...
Also my laptop is pretty quick but the LG Updater software did "seem" to freeze a few times, but it turned out to just be processing, it even at times would say in the status bar, "not responding", but it would keep moving right along without complications, some parts just processed slow

Yes the battery on the enV Touch is left in, LG also says that before you start the firmware upgrade to make sure that you have a fully charged battery.. I would assume this is to ensure your phone does not die during the upgrade process.. Actually before the software starts to upgrade the firmware to your phone it does an analysis first and checks your pc and phone to make sure you are ready to upgrade, I did see it say "checking battery level" as one of them

Alright. For everyone that will be doing this. Make sure you right click on the LG logo in the system bar... Bottom right... Click options and help and make sure you put your msn and phone type in there. Then it froze at 30% again. After several restarts and tries I give up. Tech support was stupid too. She said we don't trouble shoot your PC. I tried it on many PC's. 3 different one, 3 different houses. You can't tell me all 3 of them are not running correctly. I even tried to download the updater tool from different address. Installed the drivers correctly. It's whenever the PC tries to read the phone it crashes and hangs there.

Chris, I would suggest trying tech support again. It has been my experience that most of the techs will go above and beyond to help you get things running properly. It's those few lazy techs that ruin the rep for the bunch.
