Wow, V04 is out already.  I wonder if it'll improve the battery life.  Does LG/VZW eventually post what fixes were implemented?  For example, what changed between V02 and V03?  TIA.

Has anyone checked to see if it fixes that problem where taking a picture in a certain mode (beautify or something?) and then trying to edit it would reset the phone?

BTW, there is a typo in the updater program, it says "Checking batter level"  Tongue

The "Checking batter level" message could mean it's going to submit the user for a steroids test.  Shocked

Alright I just finished updating to V04! I'll let ya know if I notice anything different Smiley

EDIT: Ok, unless I'm mistaken the "Dual" clock used to be black, now it's white. I'm not 100% sure on this though, does someone on V03 want to confirm it used to be black?

exactly the same for me, it would get to 30% and say plug phone in.... I waited like 20 min with it on the charger then it randomly worked on the XP comp.

As for changes I don't notice anything major (or even minor to be honest)... My guess is v03 and v04 were just tests to make sure their updating services are working correctly.

I have noticed that the phone overall seems a bit more responsive and a bit more stable.  That could also be due to the new screen protector I installed yesterday as well but I swear mobile email and the browser load quicker now.  It seems to be finding a minimal signal easier where I live.  Reception is horrible where my home is and I have noticed it being able to get out a little easier in some spots of the house now like my u740 was able to do.  Still not as good as that but seems better.  I have used it allot today and it is possible that the battery life has improved a little as I had 3 bars when I got home today instead of 2.  The only other observation so far is maybe the flash is less blow out prone now when taking pics.  I didn't use it much before due to every pic blowing out but so far out side of ugly white balance i get a picture instead of pure white.   Maybe this update was to solidify the core functionality of the phone and next they will hopefully address some of our other concerns.... hopefully.  Tonight  I'm going to test it for the weird random menu launching problem while charging with the desktop clock screen enabled problem I was having.

I turned off the program and let the phone sit charging, then tried again after 20 minutes or so and it worked.  I have no idea what changed in that 20 minutes, but..

Everytime I tried running the program I had to reinstall the usb drivers, except for the last time when it worked.

Maybe try taking the battery out for 10 seconds, and doing the *228 option 2, then trying again.  Might help

Just downloaded the update and it installed without a hitch. Took about a total of 10 minutes to complete the update. I do not see much of a change though the screen does seem a little more responsive. If anything I am hoping this does improve the battery life.

I also installed it earlyer without a problem. so im not sure why others are having problems. im sure its a computer related thing. Drivers,configurations,maintainance,etc...

Touch screen seems more stable, and responsive too.

good luck everyone!  Wink

When you connect the phone to your comp... it gives the option of music or data.
Do you just leave it or did you select data?
