You can't just add an already existing swf clock onto a new background image of your choice.  If you want to work with a clock file and edit it to your liking, you would have to decompile that file into an fla so you can open it up in Adobe Flash or use SWF Quicker to make any changes directly.  Otherwise, you would have to build the clock yourself, from scratch, onto your chosen background image.

Also, please don't double post.  I see that you already fixed a previous instance in this thread but then made the same error again.  Please try to remember the modify button if nobody has replied to your last post yet.

Thank you

I suggest getting the new beta of bitpim and using that(it has the Touch on it), and drop your syncing.

I really like the tutorial that someone posted... however, how do I make one? Or... can there be a thread that has all those animated SWF flash clocks into one place instead of all over the place online so people aren't confused of where to go?

Regardless of the picture, is there a way that a person can add date and time, including seconds (or futher, like tenths of a sec. or so)... or maybe into decimal time (for fun)?

I'm using Adobe Flash CS3... and I know that either 480x800 (L*W) or 800x480 pixel resolutions must work, and I will accept that. No other resolutions, please.  Thank you!

This is not the thread to make a request for a clock.  There is a request thread for that very purpose.

And no, there cannot be a single thread with all of the swf clocks.  Our other members have taken the time to make these clocks free of charge.  The least you can do is take the time to look through their threads to appreciate that work.

Hey,

I've spent the last hour trying to find a thread where there's a tutorial abt adding a flash clock. I failed to find one in here, but I did find another website that helped me build my clock. Now here are my questions:

1. What actionscript version do the clocks have to be in? Mine's in 2.0, hopefully good enough.

2. What size shd the clocks be? I'm worried mine might be a tad bit too big.

3. Should I save the file as an .swf  (export the file as a flash movie or something else?)

4. I tried to overwrite my clock in bitpim and it seems to have worked, now which clock setting should I use on the phone for the one we overwrite with?

5. Last one,   when you guys say reset the phone, do you mean the reset where everything returns to default settings or is there another reset? I already did the reset mentioned, but I dont like to refix all of my preferred settings all over again. Is there another way?

Thanks for whoever takes the time to answer my questions,  I'd really appreciate it!

- Sydas

** EDIT **  I found the answers to questions 1-3  haha sorry. =)

I've just discovered this site and am loving the possibility of customizing my phone.  I've downloaded BitPim and have started poking around to see what it's all about.

Question about adding animations, themes, clocks, etc...

How do I go about saving the original file?  If I understand correctly one of the existing files has to be overwritten.  How do I save the original if for some reason I decide I want to use it again or need it back on the phone?

Thanks in advance. Smiley
