2 issues I have hear of so far is it does not play well in XP and sometimes all it takes is using a different USB port.  With my W7 rig I had a USB port issue and moving to another worked for me.

BLKHALO, did you install the LG drivers so that your computer can recognize your Touch?

I have a sure-fire solution to fix this problem every time your Bitpim decides not to recognize your Env Touch:

1. On your phone go to "Settings" and select "USB Auto-Detection"
2. Select "Modem Mode" and plug in your phone to your computer via USB
2. On your computer, open the start menu
3. Right click on "My Computer" and select "Manage"
4. Under "System Tools" select "Device Manager"
5. Find "Modems" and expand it using the "+" icon
6. Your computer should have already recognized your phone as "LGE CDMA" something or other with a yellow question mark by it, double click to open up the preferences
7. In the "General" tab, there should be a button at the bottom that reads "reinstall driver"
8. Install the driver and viola

When you open Bitpim it should recognize your phone right away on a random port enabling you to successfully retrieve your phone's filing system. This method will work every time your Bitpim decides to stop recognizing the dedicated port for your Env Touch.

Like said previously, don't forget to make sure your drivers and pc software is all up to date. :-)

Ok try plugging in the phone first, then try running bitpm. That seemed to work for me.

I started to have issues lately with the env locking up when bitpim was trying to detect it.  Found that having the env off and plugging it in to the usb worked.
