What you'll need: BitPim, USB cable
Steps:
1. Navigate to a website with swf game files
2. find a flash animation like "tic Tac Toe" and save it to your desktop
3. Connect enV Touch to Bitpim
4. use the filesystem tab and go to:
flash>ui>tools
in the file window, right-click "ezTipType1Sub.swf" select "save"
also in the file window, right-click "ezTipType1Main.swf" and save.
Retain a backup of these files.
5. In Bitpim, right click ezTipType1Main.swf (for internal screen games that require use of the D-pad) and select "Overwrite", you should see the file size change
do the same wih ezTipType1sub.swf (for touch screen games that don't need any button pressing to function properly)
No need to reboot the phone. You can even leave it plugged into BitPim :mod:
On your phone go to:
menu>settings and tools>tools>EZ Tip Calculator, the game will start :cell:

note:
different games can be loaded for each of the two screens
Replace what works with the touch display with one, and one that works with the keys with the other.
example:
Bomberman works with internal keys (just replace "Main.swf")
Office war works on external screen (just replace "Sub.swf")

All the flash wallpapers can be replaced with games. You can scroll through the games and play each of them.
The games work much better with the outside screen, basically 7 out of 14 more spots available for games. 11 flash games on mine
folder: /flash/ui/wallpapers/
replace: wallpaperTypeXSub.swf (ie:X=4=keith haring yellow, Vgr)
To play: menu>settings and tools>display settings>wallpaper>fun animations->select wallpaper
play.

Here's a different flash index with some pretty useless stuff
Index of /flash
Both these fun little apps run very smooth, and respond full screen on the front touch, so you can test if you ever think you might have any dead areas on the touch screen. :cell:
http://www.edmack.com/flash/drag_multi_slow.swf
[url]http://www.edmack.com/flash/worm-line.swf

I was able to find a Tetris that worked (decent) on the inside screen with the arrow keys,... it's labeled "tetris.swf" on this index:
http://elegans.imbb.forth.gr/games/[url]http://69.93.231.198/albino_flash000...sheep.com).swf

It seems dumb but kind of addicting haha :clapping:

From http://top-jeux.maxitrafic.com/games/swf :

Key
ŻŻŻ
1 = Should work on outer screeen
2 = Should work on inner screen
5p = tested and works on outer screen, but only uses partial screen
5f = tested and works on outer screen and uses full screen
6p = tested and works on inner screen, but only uses partial screen
6f = tested and works on inner screen and uses full screen

*Note by e-T*

All of the notes in this post about what games work and the sites to find them were relevant to the Voyager people back in February of 2008.  I don't have the time to go through and check them all for you but I will be happy to edit this information as time goes by and members get to experiment more with it.  I have posted this general guide just to make it easier for people to figure out how to add free Flash games to their phone.

It most likely means the game you have was created using a version of Flash not compatible with the phone.  The only thing you could do to get around that is to decompile the game and then try to republish it in a lower version of Flash that the phone can play.  It would probably be easier to find a different version of the game or to just move on to the next game you'd like to try.

I'm subscribing to this thread.  Thank you, e-T, and others, for creating this write-up.  I Googled "swf games download" (w/o the quotes) and got almost 19 million hits!  Shocked

I just hope the links people post for free swf games are indeed games and not Trojans that will do damage to the phone.  Embarrassed

There are no viruses to attack BREW systems.  You're safe.

Which screen are you wanting the game to play on?  If the game requires use of the D-pad, you will have to overwrite the internal ez tip calc file that ends with "main".  If it uses a mouse to play, then it should go on the touch screen and you will have to overwrite the "sub" file.

codaman if you copied the directions exactly up there you wont get the ez-tip calc. on the voyager there are only two ez-tip calc files. on the touch, you need to replace all ez-tip calc 4 files. Hope this helped Smiley

I guess I should edit the instructions to remind people that there are two ez tip calc files for each screen, huh?  I'm assuming that the ez tip calc rotates for the accelerometer which is why there are two files per screen?  At the same time, does the world clock NOT rotate?

Has anyone been able to use the ez tip calc slot to get flash games working?  If not, I can edit the instructions I pulled from the Voyager site to swap out the world clock as the only option for you folks.

hey all,

I'm new to this forum and I'm looking to mod my enV Touch. My biggest fear with this is bricking the phone though... have there been many reports of bricks? What are the chances of bricking with the above method of installing games?

Thanks in advance!

You cannot brick your phone using bitpim unless you start messing with files that you aren't supposed to.
