I am a new enV Touch user and I have encountered a few issues I was hoping that others might be knowledgeable about.
I purchased my enV Touch three days ago. When I started using it I noticed that if I was speaking and the person on the other end of the line overlapped my own speech (i.e. if we were talking at the same time) the audio in the receiver would break up. I also had an issue with an echo of my own speech occasionally being produced in the receiver. Finally, the two internal speakers would rattle a little bit during parts of the voice command prompt "Please say a command" at voice command volume levels higher than level 3. Verizon exchanged the unit for another one yesterday. The first issue (audio breaking up during speech overlap) seems to be resolved. The second issue (the echo) occurs less frequently (but still seems to be occasionally triggered when the phone is near certain other wireless devices).
The third issue (the internal speakers rattling during parts of the voice command prompt if the voice command volume is greater than level 3) is still present. I wanted to know if (in your opinion) this was normal for the internal speakers the phone is equipped with, or if the two units I have tested just likely both had speaker issues.
Another question I have is about microSDHC. I read an article (
http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives/2009/07/lg-env-hands-on.html) on the enV Touch which stated that "a wireless firmware upgrade will enable 32GB cards when they become available". I spoke with a LG representative and she said that she was unaware of a firmware upgrade on the horizon that would enable 32GB cards. She did say that the enV Touch was compatible with class 10 microSDHC cards (as long as they are 16GB or less). I wanted to know if anyone here could verify that (i.e. class 10 microSDHC) from experience.
Thank you.
