i purchased the enVtouch the day it came out for full retail and since then i have gone through 4 exchanges (all with different problems) now i thought that i had a good phone-----i was WRONG.. since 2 weeks ago, when i unplug my phone from charging overnight..when i turn it on, everything is back to how it came from the box (wallpapers, clocks, shortcut menu, qwerty internal shortcut, internal direction keys all back to when i first got the phone!!) 2 weeks ago-twice, last week-4 times, and today!! verizon said that since my phone is about 10 days over the 30 day period, they cant do anything.. i am more than mad now since i paid over $450 for a phone from verizon, they cant even give me a new one (exchange)  i am going again today to a place i now hate to visit to argue that a phone i paid this much for should NOT have all these problems, i really do not feel like having to add all my shortcuts and put them back in order every morning, and turning off touch feedback, and changing my wallpapers, and changing my clocks, and getting rid of the verizon banner, changing my theme back, fixing the directional keys & my shortcuts..i should NOT have to go through this every morning with a phone i paid $450 for!!

they don't care how much you paid for it. they wont help you. your best bet is to use the insurance. you just lost your phone.

if you use the ins you are out the money they charge plus you end up with a refurb, you are better off taking it back under the 1 year manufacturer warrenty

Where exactly did you come up with this enlightened theory?  That's probably one of the least helpful or relevant posts I have seen on this forum so far.

seriously, what is he talking about >_> verizon will fix your phone or at least replace it with a new one if you take it to the store.. i took my Chocolate in yeaaaars ago when it first came out because the screen cracked (it was my fault i dropped it to and nothing was wrong with it except the scratch it still worked fine) and they replaced it for free.. so dont say verizon doesnt help you.. maybe it blows that you have to stand in line for an hour but its still fun messing around with the phones they have on display while waiting

Just use your phone's 1-yr. warranty and ask for a new one.

Haha, when I was getting the enV Touch we kinda cut in line since we were trying to work a payment machine and then we asked a rep if we can use the Connect plan on the BB Storm, she said no, then we tried everything to the point where we were gonna order our phones online through the machines and the rep was kind enough to tell us that we get to pay the same amount etc. difference about rebate blah blah blah.. anyways she assisted us to get the enV Touch and BB Storm, There was like 4 more people on the list so we technically cutted in line xD

But I do agree though, Playing around with those display phones is fun.

This is exactly what happened to my env-touch. Luckily each phone comes with a 1 yr manufactorers warranty. So they just replaced mine no question. So I don't know why they wouldn't replace yours

How hard are you on your phones?

Maybe you should get the Casio Exilim phone, also from VZW, which is a bit more ruggedized.

If not, then get the G'Zone Tongue That'd be embarrassing to carry around, but It's pretty much built to be tough and can withstand more than a normal phone can.

Mine has done this to me about 4 times over the past couple weeks. Two of the times the phone froze up and when I restarted it all the settings were returned to default. It is really annoying after you got all the little hard to find setting like you want them.
