Hey everyone, im new here, well been sneaking around the forums a few times. Just got a dilemma and need your input

so have an env touch. got a replacement today and when i took it out of the box to activate it, i noticed the chrome was chipped, it was scratched from the screen, the screen was popped out a bit. the inside: qwerty keyboard was scuff up with noticeable white scratches, where the speakers are they were all discolored and what seemed to be chipped?

i called cs and told one of the workers there what happened. i asked her if i could just keep my old phone and return this replacement i had just gotten and she said yes.

my phones not having major issues just the fact that when i set my ringtones to the left directional key it restarts, so i called cs and they sent me that replacement. My phone works fine i could just switch that key to something else you know?

but still i didnt think that when i ordered the replacement. point is, was it possible to return the replacement i just got back to vzw? will it go through just like a normal replacement will? whats the process?

i can't go to a verizon corp store to have them check out the phone because its to far from here and as soon as i get home from school my mom leaves to work and i have no way of getting there.

so was that good that i sent the one they sent me back? cs told me yes but i wanna make sure with you guys see if any of you have done this?

thanks

Same thing happened to me. I was very disappointed. I purchased the phone with my own hard-earned money from the summer and because of some glitches(it would restart and revert all of my settings and it was lagging when  I went into Media Center)I had to get a replacement. It had a few scratches! I was very angry. I took very good care of the one that had the glitch and now I have to use one that has a scratch on it. I am very picky about my phone and I want it to look nice. The one with the glitch had no scratches. I talked to my mom and she said that they would probably not let me have them send me a different one. In the end, I just took the one with a few scratches! If I was you, I would call customer service and have them send you one that doesn't have a scratch. It is not acceptable for them to send you a nasty beat up one when yours is in great condition. That's what I wish I would have done.

Omgosh... I had the same issue with chipped chrome!!!

I'm the same way.  I take very good care of my phones.  I always have screen protectors on the LCD's, cases on the entire phone, etc.  When I had to get my first enV Touch replaced, the "like new" replacement had chips in the chrome.  I was very upset.  I had only had my first phone for less than two months and it didn't have a scratch on it.  When I called Verizon they DID say that they would replace it (with another refurb) but I opted to wait to see how this phone did.  Now two months later I DO have to get it replaced due to all of the issues I'm having... sigh.   Sad
