I wonder if you got the phone with version 10.  I have a fix for it in another post inFirmware updates/v10.  See if that helps.

I am also stuck on boot loop. I had no idea what it was doing until I did some research. Sorry, so far I don't have a solution but I'm working on it and hopefully someone can help me out.

I've had my enV Touch for almost 2 years and I've never had a major problem with it until now. I'm on V09. It was stupid, I was in my media center just scrolling through my games and one of them started opening (I accidentally hit it while scrolling). I hit the end button to close out of it so I could finish what I was doing and my phone just turned off. It looked like it was about to reboot so I just waited and of course, it didn't reboot. It just keeps looping. I haven't done any hacking to it.....well except for the dun modem hack which I did when I first got the phone.

I have been searching the web like a mad woman the past few nights trying to figure out how to fix it, I've found solutions and attempted a few and so far nothing. For all I know I many not be doing something right...I keep reading different things and some explanations seem half-a**ed so it's kind of frustrating. I'm not an idiot, I'm pretty good at figuring things out but I'd like to understand exactly what it is that I'm doing before trying anything else. I also want to make sure I'm doing it right! I'd love to be able to recover stuff from my phone but I understand that it may not be possible. I already had LGNPST and LGMobile update on my computer and I've also downloaded the drivers and bitpim. I would really appreciate it if someone could try and direct me in the right path. Keep in mind my phone will not power on at all. I want my phone back....it's stressing me out!!!! Thank you.

What have you done so far?  And when you say your caught in a loop and it won't power up, do you mean that all you get is the boot up window with the VZW logo and then reboots or nothing happens at all.  No power.  What happens when you plug your phone into an outlet?  Can you get to your file system using bitpim?  I know with my phone, it has to be off in order to use bitpim.

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate that you're trying to help. When I press the power button I just get the Verizon logo for about maybe 10 secs and then off for like 2 secs, Verizon logo then off and this just happens over and over again. I get the same when I plug into an outlet or the computer. I have to pop the battery out to get it to stop.

I read something about using recovery phone in LGMobile Update, I tried that but I got an error message....I'd have to try it again because of course I don't exactly remember. With bitpim, I cannot get it to read the phone. I tried pressing the camera+volume+lock button to get it to the downloading do not unplug screen which worked and bitpim tries to read it but it's unsuccessful. I got my hands on a working enV Touch because I read that you can plug one in to read it's file system and then switch to the non-working phone and overwrite the fileDB. I read that on a few different sites except I'm confused because one person says that you have to hurry and do it as quick as you can and another states that after plugging in the non-working phone you should wait ten seconds before selecting and overwriting the file. I've tried both ways more than once with no luck. One person said that fileDB should be deleted but I'm not sure what that will do so I haven't tried it. I read a little about some type of emergency update in LGNPST but it wasn't enough info to get me to try that just yet. Like I said, I'd really like to be able to recover all my stuff on my phone but I haven't read anywhere whether that's possible or not so I don't have my hopes up. Sorry, I'm trying to describe everything as best I can so hopefully I didn't lose you!

No, you didn't loose me.  You did a lot tricks and I think you are down to just two to three options left.  One, if you have a microSD card in remove it.  Second, try it with a different battery.  Third, take it to a VZW store.  You may have to take it to a few different stores for they are not all the same.  I don't think there is anything else that you can do and I doubt that the SD card or Batt (specially the batt) will have any effect but worth a try.  If it would just boot past the logo screen for a few seconds I think I could have helped more.  Good luck to you and post back your results, whatever they may be.
