The other day my external touch screen stopped responding to any touch. The screen updates, the clock updates, battery meter updates, etc. However, the external screen does not respond to any touch. I have to do everything from the inside keyboard. I tried removing the battery for about 15 minutes, and no luck. I was wondering if I update my software if that may do the trick. I am currently at v09. Any ideas?

Thanks...

It's worth a shot upgrading the FW. And if that doesn't work then go to a VZW store and have them take a look. I've been reading about some external screen crapping out on them after 1.5+ years. I hope that is not the case with you.

Try and recalibrate the screen.  Something tells me that it will be of no use but one never knows.

How do you do this? And how do you check for updates?

Proximity Sensor Calibration
Dial ##5473784236368 (##program11000 or ##lgservicemenu will Work) and press call.
When prompted for a code, enter 000000 (all zeros).
Select “ALL AUTO TEST” and scroll down to “PROXIMITY CAL” to Calibrate the Proximity Sensor, no matter what Screen Protector you have on it should calibrate the Proximity Sensor to Work Correctly.

Shout out if it works or not.

If your talking about checking your firmware. Go into settings and tools, scroll down to the bottom and select phone info. It will tell you what version you have. However no matter what version you have. I HIGHLY recommend you take it to a Verizon service center and have them do the update(s). As for how to calibrate the phone, again go into settings and tools, select touch settings and scroll to the bottom. Select calibrate and your good to go.
