When my replacement phone shipped from Verizon, it arrived with a broken accelerometer (Or so I think). I cannot "turn" my phone in the external keyboard mode, in games, or with the camera, as I was able to with my old one. Software version 9, if it matters.
Is there any setting in the service menu I can change to fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Drew.

I can't recall if the service menu has a calibration for the accelerometer but it does not hurt to look.  I know you can adjust things like the proximity sensor and such.  I believe there are 2 different menus to access.

A quick disclaimer: The following instructions below are only advised in the following manner. Any damage caused to your device is not my fault. If you follow these instructions exactly you will be able to find out whether or not your accelerometer is truly defective.

1. With the Env Touch open (touch screen only shown)

2. From the homescreen press the dialpad button (check example at bottom)

3. press ##5473784236368 then press call and then press 000000 for the service code

4. press (All Auto Tests) then scroll down and press (GeomagneticSensor)

5. whilst holding the phone vertically you will see a picture displayed on the screen. If you turn hold the phone sideways you will see the same picture just turned to follow the direction you turned the phone.

If the picture does not turn then you have verified with a test that it doesn't work at all. You need to either take the phone into your local Verizon store tech or call them via a different phone than the device you are trying to troubleshoot. The US number is 1-(800)-922-0204
