Insensitivity Problem

So I currently have a refurb env Touch, I'm assuming that's what Assurion sent me after I needed a replacement phone.  I've noticed that anytime I touch the bottom left portion of my screen, right where the messaging icon shortcut is, that the phone register the touch all over the place.  Sometimes the arrow menu that gives you more icons to throw onto the screen ... sometimes it opens up the clock menu ... and sometimes the screen just does wonky stuff.

...anyone else having similar problems??  I think it's time to call this one a lemon.  LOL
