I got the LG enV Touch a month ago and I love it. I just have one big problem, memory issues. I got a brand new San Disk 8GB Micro SD memory card and I downloaded 700 songs that I had on Windows Media Player, about 10 photos and 3 Wallpapers onto it. Everything will work fine for a day or two and then... my wallpapers disappear, I can't view my photos and when I click on any of my songs I get a message saying, "FILE CANNOT BE SUPPORTED OR CANNOT BE READ."

I have contacted Verizon Customer Service 3 times in the past week about it. After the 3rd time, they told me to go to the store and exchange it for another brand new enV Touch. I did that last night and it worked just fine. Then when I wanted to listen to music this afternoon I had the same problem.

Also, just to let everyone know, before I got the card I was having issues as well. There would be times on my old phone when I would try to use the web browser and it wouldn't allow me to access due to "Insufficient Memory." I checked my phone memory (this is before I got the SD card) and it said the memory was only 35% full at 88 MB's.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do?

Things to consider:

1)  Back everything up in your SD card to your computer, put the card back into your phone and let you phone reformat the card.  Then transfer all the files back using the USB Mass Storage Tool under Tools & Settings.

2) Go the the Memory subdivision of the Tools & Settings and make sure all the settings are SAVE TO CARD.  Then go to your PICTURE, MUSIC, and WALLPAPER folders on your phone and make sure any pre-existing files there are actually on the SD card.

3) Ultimately, you can back-up all your music/pics/files and run a Factory Restore on your phone before embracing #1 and #2 above.

Good Luck!

Just for some clarification, you are saying that you were able to play songs on the phone that then later gave a message of file cannot be supported?  The exact songs?

The insufficient memory issue has nothing to do with your phone's hard disk memory.  It's the memory capacity that the browser has access to in the RAM.  You can try clearing out your browser history and cache.  But more than likely, the webpage was simply too large for the phone to handle.  They may call it a full html browser but that doesn't mean you will be able to load every webpage available online.

Thank you for your replies. I texted the CSR at the Verizon Store. He told me that didn't format the SC card last night. I already have music and photos on my hard drive and I know how to obtain the wallpapers again. I've reformatted the phone. I'll let you know how it goes. If I have this issue again, I've had other people in another forum advise me that I may need to exchange the SD card.

As for the songs, I just picked a variety of random songs, ones I listened to and ones I didn't.

Also, thank for the tip about the browser. Actually, I experienced this on the Verizon home page for the enV Touch and on Facebook. From what I understand, if I experience this again, I need to empty the cache.

Just to let everyone know, it was a memory card issue. I exchanged the old one with a new one and I haven't had a problem for days. Thank you for your help.

Good wishes,
