Hi Patrick.
The not enough storage available message usually is related to disk/network access permissions.
Here are some ideas, please read them over first then try the the most reasonable--
Have a look at this at the Microsoft site:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/177078/Temporarily disable any anti-virus/trojan software then try again.
Run Microsoft update and install ALL the optional stuff as well. Might take a while, depending on how up to date you are.
Boot to safe mode then try to install (Assuming Vista has a safe mode?).
Try that 'Run as Administrator' option (I have seen many referrals to it)
Run Disk Cleanup.
Run chkdsk /f
Check the sharing configuration for the boot drive.
