I read a post from last December in this section that someone (Deb I believe) was having the same problem I am now having.  When I text from the internal keyboard the screen locks up.  It doesn't always happen, but it happens enough to be real annoying.  It probably has happened 5 or 6 times.  Each time I have to remove the battery to do a soft reboot to reclaim the phone's functionality.  I also lose whatever message I was texting...which is just plain, darn annoying.  But, this is the difference between Deb and me.  I HAVE upgraded to v07 and have NEVER had this problem before the upgrade.  I upgraded at a Verizon store so I believe I got the "real deal" upgrade.  Has any one else had this problem?  Solutions?

I am having precisely the same problem. I've noticed it only happens when texting while the phone is open (i.e. accessing the internal screen) and only after typing a bit on the keyboard. I'm wondering if a complete system freeze could possibly be a memory issue of some sort, since the only thing that seems to be prompting this is the latest firmware.

I just got my Touch 2 weeks ago and have experienced this very same problem twice. At first I thought it was the weather affecting the hardware, as I was texting outside, but then it happened in my own home.

Has anyone checked the Verizon or LG forums for any threads on this?
