This is for people who, while on a call, need to access the dial pad but the darned phone will not display it.  I've heard that in most cases it's the screen protector's fault.

My wife has a Touch and also has one of those mirrored protectors that when the screen is not in use it acts as a mirror. great for women and even men... hehehe. Anyways, she would be pissed off that the screen wouldn't display when she needed to input some numbers during a call.  I just fixed it for her this last weekend and works great now!

So here it is; this works with any screen protector:

Dial ##5473784236368 (##program11000 or ##lgservicemenu will Work) and press call.
When prompted for a code, enter 000000 (all zeros).
Select “ALL AUTO TEST” and scroll down to “PROXIMITY CAL” to Calibrate the Proximity Sensor, No Matter WHAT Screen Protector you have on it should calibrate the Proximity Sensor to Work Correctly.
Screen Protector is Mirrored & Covers the Proximity Sensor. After I Finished Calibrating the Proximity Sensor, it Works Perfectly now

I do not have a screen protector but when I try to calibrate the left hand side is so far off I can not touch it. I contacted tech support and of course it was,( you are eligible for an upgrade). They told me it was damaged and it needed to go to service. I tried the fix posted here and low and behold it works just fine.

I don't know how you guys know what you know but thanks a bunch!
