A few times people have called me saying I called them when I didn't. I'd check the dialed call list and sure enough the phone called. They other morning I stopped for coffee at the store and when I got back in my truck  my wife called at 6 am , I said why are you up so early and she said you called me first.
I checked the log and a call was made to my house at 610 and 611 am at which time I was in the store. The phone was in a leather holster on my belt. I could understand if it was in my pocket. The phone is 2 weeks old.. and has made 3 to 4 calls . anyone else ever have this happen ?

My sister texted me this afternoon asking why I had called, apparently my phone decided to make a call on its own at 1241pmEST.

Weird, I've never had that problem. You have your screen lock settings on, no? I have heard that metal affects touch screen and makes them do weird things as well.

I have not had this problem.  I carry my phone on my belt clip holster that has a magnetic closure.  I always ensure the touch screen is facing away from the magnet and toward my belt.  This is how I have always done it and I have not had any problems with unauthorized or unintended calls.

Hope this helps!

My husband I both had the dare.  It did that all the time.  My phone called my husbands phne at 4 in the morning while I was sleeping and the phone was no where near me.  A friend had the dare as well and it called others while sitting on the table.

I'm the type of person that puts the phone either in my back pocet or front pocket and it would turn off my clock, call random people, and even download games (which verizon will not reimburse you for!)...it has become a hassle so I usually just hold the phone in my hand or set it on the table or counter somewhere...sometimes it gets left behind.Sad
The phone even does some of this random stuff in my purse.

At the time mine was in my shoe in a gym locker, lol.  So definitely a weird place to touch dial.

I thought the proper term was 'butt-dialing'. I have a friend with a Blackberry and his butt calls me more than he does.

Let me get this straight...you put your phone (the thing you put on your face and hold in close proximity to your mouth) in your shoe when you are at the gym?  I think I would seek out a better hiding place for my phone while off pumping iron...one that won't leave my phone smelling like feet....lol

My phone dials someone almost every time I have it in my front pocket.

My wife has a case and it has never happened to her.

I tried to lock the phone, butit says the code is incorrect (the manual says for the first time, it should be the last 4 digits of your phone number)

I have trouble with random dialing. It is more likely to happen when I get into my truck. It is on my  belt in a case and I thought it could the seat belts pushing the buttons on the phone. It would have to be a weird random sequence of button pushing to dial a call though. I also noticed in my case that the  butt-dialed contacts usually start with J or K..... I remember one R that the last name started with J.
