Is this just me??
If I have my phone on vibrate and I'm typing out a message, and I get a new message in the middle of typing, it beeps anyway. Which is dangerous if I'm texting in class. Don't bother telling me to not do that, I don't need lectures, I just want to know if it happens to anyone else?  I had my phone on silent today and I was typing a message but it rang on loud ringer when I got a call in the middle of the text.  ITS INFURIATING

Its something like $12 for every class; more or less depending on your school.
So if your not taking it in it's basically throwing away $12 every time.

I don't recall my phone ever making any sound while I have it on vibrate mode.

I agree.

Doublecheck all your settings, to make sure you're "quiet" across the board.

I usually just set my Master Volume to silent if I am in a meeting or something where I can not have the interruption.  I remember one time I forgot to hit the set button and I got a text in the middle of a seminar.  Having GySgt Hartman yelling in the middle of the seminar didn't win me any points that's for sure!

I just press and hold "Z" from the internal keyboard when I want to put my phone in vibrate mode or undo it.
